Posting photos of nursing babies online

On another board, a poster has a long siggy that includes a slideshow of nursing babies from her playgroup. Another poster took offense at it and there has been quite the debate over the appropriateness of the siggy. I posted a message inviting people here to discuss that issue, and I hope that one of the posters from that particular playgroup comes here, at least so we can see what the siggy looks like. I'm having a hard time forming coherent thoughts today, LOL! So don't worry if I don't come back to debate the issue with you, I'm trying to get out of the office so I can go home & sleep.

As "Linda Richmond" (aka Mike Myers) from SNL would say, "talk amongst yourselves."

So pretend you didn't BF. Seriously, what do you expect *me* or anyone else to do about your feelings? You have to own them, and if my opinions make you feel "ashamed" of yourself as a BF'er, then you clearly have your own issues to deal with.

Yes but again, you don't have to see this debate if it bothers you so much.

Jennifer is an active poster on this DEBATE board, I doubt she's bothered by this one

Um, I'm not "offended" by this debate. I'm rather enjoying it. Did you happen to notice how many posts I have on this board? I'm a very comfortable regular around here. ;O)

LOL, I just went to bat for you Jennifer with pretty much the same wording b/4 I saw this post of yours

I guess that I am fully unable to get you to understand my point then. Oh well. I'm aware that anyone can put whatever they want in their siggies. (Although I contend that my testicular cancer rooster and balls picture would be removed immediately.. lol) I just don't think it's very respectful of other people. Nursing in public is wonderful and great and fabulous and all that. Then again, I am still in shock that people put pictures of their children on here. Eeeek.

I like bfearers! How can bfer's give a little respect to those who don't want to see them bfing, other than disappearing? How much is too much or is there even too much respect for the fearers? I think catering to a person's prejudices and whims only would reinforce them.

Are you serious? I NEVER said "F" anybody! I stated that whether these people like it or not, I will BF when and where we need to because I *don't* care what they think of it. You should not put words in other debators' mouths.

And you dodged my request to provide reasons why *you* think *I* should care.

I'm glad you feel that you are a comfortable regular on this board, I usually frequent a different debate board, the one that started this.

I thought this thread was spawned from the pg board where the tag originated.

Just thought I might add... this siggy was talked about the day it showed up on that other board, so I guess it depends on where ya go. :)
