Posting photos of nursing babies online

On another board, a poster has a long siggy that includes a slideshow of nursing babies from her playgroup. Another poster took offense at it and there has been quite the debate over the appropriateness of the siggy. I posted a message inviting people here to discuss that issue, and I hope that one of the posters from that particular playgroup comes here, at least so we can see what the siggy looks like. I'm having a hard time forming coherent thoughts today, LOL! So don't worry if I don't come back to debate the issue with you, I'm trying to get out of the office so I can go home & sleep.

As "Linda Richmond" (aka Mike Myers) from SNL would say, "talk amongst yourselves."

Large, lengthy, long loading ones bother me.

It probably has to do with our personal experiences.

And you haven't been debating this way, from your very first post to this thread? Gimme a humongous break.

<<>>

And I told you why. Please refer to my previous post where I answered your question. I feel the language used puts down a mother's choice to BF, as well as some key parts of her body.

By all means!

No, they don't always deserve respect. But I don't deliberately disrespect people, just because other people disrespected me. I don't think that respect = not NIP. I think respect means just trying to consider other people, as much as one can. Like someone else said... nothing gratuitous. There's no reason for it.

Personally, I nursed because I was too lazy to wash bottles. What can I say, I was young, the first time around. Also, I don't think that deliberately trying to hurt FFers is helpful, even when a certain one is being extreme. I have friends, who either had babies who were born with issues, or they themselves had issues, and could not B/F for whatever reason. Many of them have had their feelings hurt by comments like that. One of them even was called an inferior mother, for daring to use formula. Maybe this is why I am less than enamored with anti-FFers.

It was a joke, perhaps I am carrying it too far. Still, I think that that there are those who believe that any picture of a breast is tasteless, regardless of how it's done. And I don't think that makes them bad people. I may be pro choice but I still understand why some people aren't.

That's because you personally don't think that breasts shouldn't be shown. Other people do. That doesn't make them bad.

Thank you for that statement. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that was completely offended by that comment.
