Posting photos of nursing babies online

On another board, a poster has a long siggy that includes a slideshow of nursing babies from her playgroup. Another poster took offense at it and there has been quite the debate over the appropriateness of the siggy. I posted a message inviting people here to discuss that issue, and I hope that one of the posters from that particular playgroup comes here, at least so we can see what the siggy looks like. I'm having a hard time forming coherent thoughts today, LOL! So don't worry if I don't come back to debate the issue with you, I'm trying to get out of the office so I can go home & sleep.
As "Linda Richmond" (aka Mike Myers) from SNL would say, "talk amongst yourselves."

" I'm sure they didn't say all. I don't think it really matters."
It does matter when you use it to imply that the bfing advocates on this board do *mean* "all".
The 16yo mom that I donated about 1200oz to would beg to differ with you!
First of all kudos to you, really.I have great respect for you believing in something so strongly to go the extra mile to help others.

"Just as my children are in my care, so are their pets! And through my example they learn to have compassion AND how to properly care for the animals."
My sister says we have to keep working alongside the kids doing pet care, and just hope they "get it" by the time they have our grandkids!
She has a point.

(((((hugs))))
That would have been so stressful and frustrating.
Disposable diapering makes you cringe?
Disposable diapers do in fact make me

"He has been sleeping in his own room/bed for a little over a year now and has never had a nightmare, isn't afraid of the dark, doesn't think there's a monster under the bed, doesn't play the bedtime avoidance games, etc. I beleive much of this has to do with the fact that we co-slept, never used CIO, etc."
You know, I think the exact same thing. My boys (almost 5 and 8) have never had a nightmare or been afraid at night for any reason and we moved once in 2005 and once in 2006. They never really slept with me after year or so, they had their own rooms and beds, but I went to them when necessary. They may have cried, but they never cried alone. I have never had any bedtime/sleeping issues. They go to bed and they stay there happily. I've heard so much about people needing to gate or lock rooms to keep toddlers/preschoolers in at night! That has not been my experience. Mine have loved their rooms and beds.

Does this mean you are equally vigilant for your toddler/preschooler/gradeschooler? Because they are equally unable to weigh their options and choose what is good for them.
Wasn't posed to me, but I'll answer, anyhow. In my case, yes. We try to give older DS the healtheist foods, and diet habbits, we can. I try to do organic, or at least antiobiotic and hormone free dairy's, meats, as much as possible, fresh fruits, veggies, foods without added sugers (by which I mean yogurt, PB, etc that would normally be healthy until the Skippy's of the world add crap like high fructose corn syrup), etc. That said, I'm no particularly milataristic about it...my son likes (and gets) treats and is excited by the occasional happy meal just like any 4yo, but I am vigilant about helping to create healthy eating habbits in him at a time when he is to young to do so himself.

She donated the milk for free. It was mom to mom, not through a bank.

My DS has been sleeping in his own bed since the day we brought him home, has never been afraid of the dark, he is only two so we will see about the monster thing,
