I know this one has been tossed around several times, but I wondered what you thought of this study? Does it make a difference to what you believe about BFing and IQ. Are the differences enough to be meaningful to you?

I think there's something to this.

Good to see you here again!

The problem with looking at just a few children is that you will often find exceptions to the rule...

I was also reading by 3 years old, and used to read chapters ahead in my math books at school because I found the class so slow. I even was the only one to pass the test (and get a good grade) on a math subject they had learned while I was out sick for several weeks - the rest of the class failed! LOL

I was raised on evaporated milk and Karo syrup - not even formula!

The only one of my children to show any gifted abilities early on was the one that was FF, and even then only for his first 6 months, then for the next 3 months he lived on mostly sugar water due to extreme allergies.

Fot that matter, Mozart was raised on sugar water almost exclusively, and he was a prodigy!

It just shows that the human body does well to adapt, most of the time. But knowing what I know now, I wouldn't want to risk not exclusively BFing.
