I caught a headline somewhere that there is a link between seratonin and SIDS. Anyone else see anything? Any links to breastfeeding?

I have heard more than once that BF prevents the seratonin levels from rising too high because of the more frequent night waking. BF has never been associated with SIDS, as far as I know.

Not breastfeeding has been associated with SIDS...not sure whether that's mediated through serotonin.

IIRC the connection with BFing was that this article was published on a site run by a formula company and aimed at night-nurses in neo-natal units so could be seen as undermining the evidence for lack of breastfeeding being an important factor in SIDS.
