What are your thoughts on unsolicited advice when it comes to BF vs FF?

When it comes to unsolicited advice, I try to first judge if it's going to be well received, at least considered, or dismissed outright. I don't give it if it's going to be dismissed outright. People can live in the dark if they want. If I think it'll at least be considered I'll make a small suggestion, let the person know I have more information if they want it, and I may leave it at that. If I get signs it'll be well received, I'll go further.

I rarely give out unsolicitated advice, but I am a compulsive helper (LOL), and if asked directly I would probably say something helpful about both situations. I am getting better at doing that and then stepping back and letting it go.

I think the qualifying part of your scenarios is that she asked for advice. If she doesn't want my advice, she can either not ask me, or ignore what I have to say. If she thinks it rude or presumptuous for me to respond to her request - well, I just can't understand that.

She asks for advice on EPing.

First scenario, yes I would. Most people don't realize the workload involved in ep'ing. My EP experience is limited to about three weeks but I pumped 2-4 times a day for 16 months with E, I pump as much for F these past two months, so I think I have a pretty good understanding of the comparative advantages and disadvantages.

Second scenario, I wouldn't waste my time. They already have shown they have little or no interest, so why bother?
