OK, I don't think anyone really denies that it is ultimately every mom's decision.

"Because in MY situation without me working WE would have to budget - so for ME to quit work to BF 100% WE would be in a rut"

So, finances are a consideration in the decision.

Where does the cost of formula vs the cost of breastfeeding fit into this?

"""Formula costs more money. Perios - and should be an IMPORTANT consideration for anyone facing financial challenges.""""

ITA - it is a very important part of the decision - as i said in my OP to this thread

As for my family - the cost was formula was NOT an issue. We have well enough money to afford it wether one of us or both of us work. (It is really not any more than diapers if you buy it right lol)

"""This begs the question - Why? Do you think a partially ff baby is at higher risk than a 100% ff baby? """

Nope, not at all

"" Do you think there is some harm in switching/supplementing that doesn't exist with ffing from the start? """

Again, nope.

""Do you think bfing exacerbates the risks of ffing somehow?"""
No, once again.

No logic really, I just would rather FF from the start than switch or do both, it just my thoughts - not saying it is better or anything like that!

""And what is being asked of you, is WHY you would sit around all day and bf? """
I sure wouldn't, though it does sound nice and relaxing lol

""WHY you would insist upon putting your family in 'financial ruin'? """
I would never insist on that. - yet another factor that goes into the decisions - finances.

""WHY you would refuse to help out wth any housework/baby care besides bfing? """

Never said i would - i enjoy doing housework.

""WHY you wouldn't consider pumping/supplementing so you could work?""
Personally - I would rather FF from the start, just what ended up working out best for my family.

""Why not? Is it also not fair to pass off nail trimming for ear cleaning?"""

No, not fair at all - which is why i have said before - that is our preferred - but if either needs done, we do them.

""No. You most certainly DID say that mom has to "sit around all day and bf" while dad works, then comes home and does all the housework. """

No, i didn't - i was referring to swapping chores for feeding - i don't know how many times i need to say that.

""Then you went off the deep end.... something about financial ruin and mom sitting ion her butt all day """

Again - i was referring to a post saying maybe MY DH would resent ME if I sat around BFing while he picked up the slack and MY response was that NO - he would NOT resent me - but in OUR house we both need to work, and to have that extra money would keep us out of any financial ruts EVER. I was speaking for my house - not at all saying ALL Bfers have to sit around or all SAHM put families in a rut!

"""First - What's is you point?"""

This is my point - 6-12 months of processed food wether formula or others processed stuff is not nearly as bad as 20-30 years of it

""And I believe it is rare the parent who feeds their child a steady diet of nothing but processed stuff"""

I think it more common than you may believe- there is so much processed stuff out there!! lol

""So I really don't understand your point UNLESS you are insinuating that unless you continue a 'perfect' diet, bfing is pointless, which is utter garbage....""

No, i am not insinuating that at all! It has nothing to do with BFing or not - i mentioned this in response to a post about someone at risk of a heart attack and wether or not they should eat healthy! and my response was that ALL people should eat healthy no matter what they are at risk for - it is just like exercise. All should do it.

Didn't I already answer this to you once already?
