OK, I don't think anyone really denies that it is ultimately every mom's decision.

****"I only said this in response to a post asking if eating healthy is important to someone at risk for a Heart Attack - and i said eating healthy is important to everyone, not just those at risk for things. "****

Nope!

I'm interested in how Emilia answers this point...

"reading this thread has caused me to bunk my head up against hard surfaces. ;-D"

You know, I think you said that about the LAST thread I started?

Yet according to you, only children "at risk" for certain diseases really need to be breastfed. But everyone, whether at risk for a heart attack or not, should eat a healthy diet. Interesting logic.

"This is my point - 6-12 months of processed food wether formula or others processed stuff is not nearly as bad as 20-30 years of it

""And I believe it is rare the parent who feeds their child a steady diet of nothing but processed stuff"""

I think it more common than you may believe- there is so much processed stuff out there!! lol "

"..and my response was that ALL people should eat healthy no matter what they are at risk for - it is just like exercise. All should do it."

Soooo...why shouldn't all be bfed no matter what they are at risk for?

LOL...and someone should share it with my DH too. ;-) He can be of help, if he so decides, but so often he gets a bee in his bonnet about CLEANING...where other things are so much more important IMO. :-P

And he harps on my using the internet, when he is sitting at the TV. ;-)

But I've seen way worse! While he does like his shows, I have never seen him SO involved in anything (ie "the football game") that he is useless for any emergency. ;-)

"As for my family - the cost was formula was NOT an issue. We have well enough money to afford it wether one of us or both of us work. (It is really not any more than diapers if you buy it right lol)"

I thought you said if you didn't work it would put your family in 'financial ruin'.

"No logic really, I just would rather FF from the start than switch or do both, it just my thoughts - not saying it is better or anything like that!"

And I'm just wondering why you would 'rather'.....
