OK, I don't think anyone really denies that it is ultimately every mom's decision.

"Toni, I think we should start a *Methods of Research* board. It can be an informational board, where people can learn how proper, scientific research is conducted. We can talk about such crazy things as control groups and independent and dependent variables. We can talk about the importance of *alpha* and *beta* and how to determine between statistically significant differences and insignificant differences. Maybe we could even do high-lights on correlation vs. causation, linear regression models, and dichotomous variables. We could have an entire section devoted to the mystery of how researchers control for outside variables. It will be just glorious. "

""" But I don't recall anyone on this board suggesting DH should do every single household chore just for the sake of BFing. "

Emila did, silly ;)""

and
JTC- the first phrase mentioning this was post #124 (not mine, i just responded to it)::

""""Ummm...because mom is feeding HIS child? Maybe your husband is different and would resent if you JUST SAT AROUND BFing while he picked up the slack around the house. """"

*caps added**

sorry - just wanted to clear this up! lol

Don't forget to include statistical significance!!!

For that matter, let's not forget the difference between mathematically significant and clinically significant!

FWIW, I do a kick-butt explanation of NNT and NNH (number needed to treat and number needed to harm) which is helpful in determining just how clinically significant something is ;)
