OK, I don't think anyone really denies that it is ultimately every mom's decision.

The problem with that theory is that by 6m we had stopped the water because I had removed most of his suspected allergens from my diet, and he was finally nursing happily - at home and in public. But, when I tried to introduce solids, he went from the 90th percentile to falling off the charts and was diagnosed as "failure to thrive".
We did allergy medical testing, several diet elimination trials and the suspected allergens were always the culprit. Once these allergens were removed from his diet, he returned to health.
So while the water is an interesting theory, the reality was it had a negligible effect.

"You seriously don't think that your body builds up immunities by being sick??
Huh?

I'm not trying to conduct my own study here.
You have proven that it is water and not formula that accounts for the differences between ffed and bfed babies?
"I've already proven it over and over again.
No, I wasn't using my personal anecdote in that manner, I know it is only one child. Just to point out that you can pick out something out, like water, that might be common to all babies and think that could be the cause of the problem.
But if, after test after test (study after study) shows that it is a different substance that is causing the problem, then the original theory - water causing his allergies, water increasing the risks in FF babies - doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
