<proven anything, Adrienne, you have floated a very tenuous "theory" about water being the actual cause of the increased risk, not formula.

The definition of "formula" is"a special nutritive mixture, esp. of milk, sugar, and water, in prescribed proportions for feeding a baby. " dictionary.com


If any one of those ingredients poses a health risk, so does the formula.


There's all kinds of reasons why formula fares worse than breastmilk in studies, and almost all of the studies DO list the parameters, the confounding factors, adjusted factors, etc.
