Which has the stronger ick factor?

  • Bug parts, larvae, rat hair & droppings in baby formula

  • donated human milk

  • neither would be an ick factor for me

  • both would be an ick factor for me

Donated human milk has no ick factor for me if it's processed by a milk bank in the US under the HMBANA protocols, but there is an ick factor if it's another mothers unpasteurized milk. Bug parts is somewhere in between the two.

I have done direct donation (meaning donating to someone I know personally not through a milk bank) & used the milk of someone close to me in a pinch, so obviously no ick factor for me there.

I KNOW that bug parts, some rodent feces, animal hairs etc make it into food - but it is STILL really icky to me.
