That was what was pointed out to you by a number of other posters - if "breast is best", then formula (by definition) CANNOT be "just as good", as you had tried to claim.

Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie!'... till you can find a rock.
The debate topic is 'Who said, Formula is evil', are you arguing that it is or it is not?
I don't believe that ANYONE is taking the "formula is evil" side.
What are the alternatives if the mother is not going to breastfeed? Is there is a better substitute than baest milk? If there is not then I think formula will have to do.
Formula is ranked #4 on the kindest of lists.
Ah, gotcha. I missed that post. But I agree with it, in the context that it was stated--that is, if you state your opinion, don't be surprised or upset if you're asked to back it up with something.
<,The comment was in reply to me talking about Lee saying formula is an adequate or good substitute. She is not wrong about it being a substitute, and whether it is adequate or good is a matter of debate. It's not the same as "I like broccoli and you don't" and we just agree to disagree.>>
I think what was debated is that Lee said it was JUST as good. Yes, it's a substitute, and it's better than starvation. But it's not even remotely as good as breastmilk, and that's my opinion, backed up with lots of science. She was asked to back up her stance that it was just as good, and she retracted her statement I think. I'm getting lost--we're getting lots of traffic this week.
"I stand by my first post, breastmilk is best but formula is an good substitute."
Super!
This is the post that was disputed, just so you know.
6 months is our gold standard, a previous poster posted a link.
As I'm playing catch up (this thread really took off!), the post you're referring to is pretty fresh in my mind.
My doubts are based on reaction to blood donation and transfusion here
Oh please, there is no donor milk available in my country
