>>>To call those who post them evil is just wrong.<<<<

I did no such thing.

Me: "criticized for being ignorant that she would choose formula or not choose donor milk. "

You: >>>And now I challenge YOU to pony up the post where she was called ignorant. I don't recall it.<<<<

The term was "remarkable amount of denial" post 136.

I know this is not scientific, but whenever I have gone to the doctor and answered all those questions about my health history and my family health history, they ask all kinds of questions about heart disease, cancer, immune diseases, etc., and never once I have a I seen the question "were you formula fed?">

My daughter's endocrinologist and her GI have both asked us whether she was BF or FF.

"My first statements on this board stated breatmilk is the best meal for my baby. That was not an emotional statement, it is based in the knowledge that useful antibodies are transmitted from mother to child from breast milk, that's reason not emotion. The breast is best/ breast milk is the gold standard

Sorry I have to ring in on this one. I believe breast is best but formula is not evil

Once again, WHO is saying formula is "evil"?!

>>>>But if breast is best, how can formula be just as good.

If I come in second in a race, its not first place, no matter how much I want it to be.<<<<

Well if your baby is refusing, you have limited support, you are miserable and at the end of your rope, or you need a medication that is not compatible with bf'ing and donor milk is not an option.... formula might actually win the race in those instances. In my case it became better, since my bmilk was no longer safe.

Do you think they would ask him as an adult? I'm talking being asked as an adult. Of course when I take my little one's to the doctor they have asked. Were your children older or grown when you were asked bf or ff?

"my point was that the "message" later in the thread to a person who appeared to others to have chosen to stop bfing is much different than the message was earlier in the thread when people were posting about having no other choice."

The "message" you're reading is not simply a slogan - for those who CHOOSE, use this quote...

I thought there not being availability in her country was a rational objection.

Maybe the mother didn't know she was purposefully killing her child, but the government, the formula companies - and even the nutrition advocates who put FF fourth on the list of ways to feed your baby - should they be perpetuating such harmful and fatal behaviors?

Now THAT'S a heck of a question!
