Why do you believe that even with all the facts, people still wouldn't choose formula?
LMBO, that's one huge bridge you've built to connect those two ideas.

Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie!'... till you can find a rock.
I did no such thing
I'll have to go back to find that one--I'm trying desperately to get to the end!
You: >>>And now I challenge YOU to pony up the post where she was called ignorant. I don't recall it.<<<<
The term was "remarkable amount of denial" post 136.
"remarkable amount of denial" translates to ignorant?
Your comments to me: "I think you are failing to see that this is a debate board, a place where facts and science come before opinions" and "You seem to want to discuss opinions and not science. An opinion cannot truly be debated, it is personal, not necessarily based on anything."
I stand by my statements 100%, I have shown you where debate rules say if questioned about something, you should concede it is opinion or back it up.
Nobody said it in this thread, but it's in the OP. Is there not supposed to be a relationship between the OP and the resulting debate thread?
The OP didn't even say it =)
Wow.

Yes, the AAP Policy recommends breastmilk for all babies, except in rare circumstances.

>>>There are nine in the US<<<< I found 10 on the link you provided.
>>>They provide milk for babies of any age and in fact to adults.<<<< See below, none list adults, the focus seems to be on premature or sick infants for all 10.
>>>A prescription is not required to procure milk from a bank<<< See below, every one requires a prescription or doctors order.
>>>I appreciate all of the time you spent gathering links, it's an impressive list!<<<< You're welcome!
1. "The Mothers' Milk Bank provides milk to patients who have a physician's prescription" "Please take into consideration that our sick and premature infants are our main priority." http://www.milkbanksj.org/
2. "A prescription written by the baby’s doctor is required to release donor human milk." "The majority of the milk dispensed by the Mothers’ Milk Bank goes to babies with a medical need for it. These include but are not limited to: * Prematurity * Feeding intolerance (including vomiting or diarrhea) * Immune problems (constant colds, hospital visits) * Any medically indicated supplementation of a breastfed baby (hypoglycemia or jaundice, gut priming or trophic feeds) * Prevention of allergies * Metabolic disorders" http://bestcareforme.com/index.php/Reasons-that-a-baby-might-need-donor-human-milk.html
3. "The milk bank then pasteurizes, nutritionally analyzes and labels it before dispensing it by prescription to premature infants, sick infants and others." http://www.clarian.org/portal/IMMilkBank/immhowitworks?clarianContentID=/milkbank/function.xml
4. "The purpose of the Mother’s Milk Bank of Iowa is to provide donor human milk to premature and term infants in Iowa. Indications for its use are: * Hospitalized premature infants * Infants born with immunological defects * Insufficient milk supply * Adopted infants * Mother illness requiring brief cessation of breast feeding" http://www.uihealthcare.com/depts/uichildrenshospital/milkbank/about.html See pdf for where to fax the "doctors order": http://www.uihealthcare.com/depts/uichildrenshospital/milkbank/brochures.html)
5. "Having the Bronson Mother's Milk Bank allows us to provide the best nutrition to babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit whose mothers can't provide breast milk. Human milk is easier for babies to digest and offers better nutrition than infant formula. And research shows human milk helps sick and premature babies have better outcomes. When the needs of Bronson's patients are met, we share milk with other hospitals whose patients have a need." http://www.bronsonhealth.com/MedicalServices/Obstetrics/page928.html
6. "All milk is dispensed by a physician order (inpatient) or prescription (outpatient)." "If your baby (or babies) came too early, or after a difficult birth or illness, it may be difficult for you to provide enough milk for his or her growing appetite. We are glad that you are considering using banked milk for the milk you cannot supply for your precious baby." http://www.milkbankne.org/recipients.shtml (see also link for "ordering")
7. "A physician's prescription is required from those who wish to obtain donor milk." "Some common reasons for needing donor milk include: * Prematurity * Allergies or formula intolerances * Immunologic deficiencies * Postoperative nutrition * Treatment of some infectious diseases * Treatment of inborn errors of metabolism" http://www.wakemed.com/body.cfm?id=135
8. "The donated milk is pasteurized, frozen and then distributed by physician prescription" "The Mothers' Milk Bank of Ohio is a service of Grant Medical Center that provides human milk to those in need, particularly premature infants and babies who are failing to thrive or have life-threatening diseases or conditions. Also, when indicated, milk can be provided for older children and adults." http://www.ohiohealth.com/bodymaternity.cfm?id=1049
9. "Donor human milk is prescribed by doctors to help premature and ill infants across the country" http://www.mmbaustin.org/scripts/
10. "Milk is dispensed by prescription only. The highest priority recipients are premature and ill hospitalized infants." http://www.mmbnt.org/recipients.html

"Having that impact life and health insurance coverage would be awful."
Especially since it's out of the the control of the people being "punished" for the choice AND it puts us between two greedy, money-hungry, people-be-damned-it's-the-profit-that-matters moneygrubbers! Baby formula manufacturers and health insurance "investors"!
If you think I told someone they needed to say something in a different way, you are mistaken. I said the messages they way they are make a certain impact, it could be intended or not, good or bad. As in "if you say it that way it might have this impact on others." I was commenting on how certain posts came off sounding to me - not that needed to be changed because of the "circumstances of the recipient." I do not believe I said anything that I was asked to back up and I didn't explain, concede or subsequently back up.
Hopefully you are able to follow the same standards and back up what you have said, after dinner of course. Making anything particularly interesting? I ordered out, as you can see by the substantial time I have available to back up my statements this evening.
