Next time...no hospital for me, if I can help it.>>
I'm so sorry :( I can't believe how negative that doc was! It must be terrible to go through labor when others doubt your ability. That kinda goes back to how we seem to have lost female role models. Historically, women in the community would gather around a laboring woman and then assist with BFing, now you wouldn't see that.
Unfortunately I think your birth story is all too common. I am hoping to have a midwife assisted home birth for my first if I'm gutsy enough....I think it's just a matter of getting over what I thought I knew about hospitals.
BTW You and your DD are SO cute!! I don't see alot of siggies b/c I'm rarely on at home, and they are blocked at work. But seriously you two are gorgeous together!
I know several circ men IRL happy with their parent's choice - I *pray* my son is okay with the opposite choice we made for him. But I can't know and I can't ask and he didn't get a say.
I *think* this means you left him intact (having a hard time following that).
Hi guys, I *think* I've never posted here before, but while surfing the boards for something interesting I stumbled upon a 500-post thread that wasn't a DYK...I had to read the whole thing =) And I just wanted to say that a few of you made me cry. In an empathetic way, not a 'you're a big meanie' way, lol.
And I also have to say that I don't understand how anyone can get an epi. My life would have to absolutely depend on it for me to get one, and I can't think of any reason my life would depend on it, soooooo...if I ever need a c/s they better be ready with the nitrous oxide & IV sedation, cause no way is a needle coming near my spine, especially during labor! I am so deathly afraid of needles it's not even funny. (just in case a name-only siggy comes up, I do have a daughter already)

"You ask me some theroetical questions and my answers exasperate you, so let's not."
Nice dodge.
"My answer will only lead to your exasperation.

My 2009 scrapping goal is 104 LOs - 73 down, 31 to go!
For me, it's snot. Remember that scene in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls? I had to run out of the theater so I could throw up.
And yes, I have picked my baby's nose. And then I went into the bathroom to retch, although thankfully I did not puke.
