I was at the lab for a blood draw to check on my GD, fighting the panic as usual, when I witnessed a big, tough-looking man having a complete breakdown (screaming, running away, then crying in his wife's arms,) over the idea of having blood drawn.

Getting the spinal was the worst part of my planned C-section. It didn't help that my nurse lacked compassion, and held my shoulders down while looking around the room, ignoring me as I whimpered.
