Getting the spinal was the worst part of my planned C-section. It didn't help that my nurse lacked compassion, and held my shoulders down while looking around the room, ignoring me as I whimpered.

I'm obviously terribly far behind yet again.

Our Lamaze instructor told us that in the hospital where I gave birth, they routinely kicked dad out of the room for the epi for this reason!

My hospital kept asking me if I was sure I really didn't want SO or my mom in the room while they did it.

"Conversely, studying societies that practice infanticide Géza Róheim reported that even infanticidal mothers in New Guinea, who ate a child, did not affect the personality development of the surviving children; that "these are good mothers who eat their own children"."

I know it's not funny, but I couldn't help but laugh at this line.

Okay, we've dealt with h-g societies, infanticide, needle phobia, the necessary intereventions and their overuse, baby wearing, did I miss anything?

As well as that, if that does not work, she could try eliminating yeast products. I found that worked for my son. I have also heard of mothers who had to eliminate wheat products.

Best to try one thing at a time though, or she may restrict her diet unnecessarily.

"Has this ever worked for you, where you asked it this way and a previously pro-FFing mom, even knowing the risks, switched her views once it was asked this way?"

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but this question changed my view.

With my baby being out of the house, I'm kinda out of the loop. Or tie, as it were.

Unfortunately I've had the same thing said about Josh, many times and we didn't do anything technical to keep him alive - just loved him, protected him and BF him.
