Start with the usual... and a few questions to help get to know you better.

1. Name, number of children (names and ages if you are comfortable) Liz, mom to Peter (18 months) and currently baking #2

2. Have you ever felt uncomfortable when feeding your baby in public - whether by breast or bottle? When I was having to supplement, I would NIP anywhere, but I always went to the care to bottlefeed. It was less about judgment for me, and more about the fact that I didn't want to perpetuate the normalization of bottles. Plus, I always had a hard time standing up and giving a bottle. Much easier to nurse.

3. What does weanng mean to you? I haven't even thought about weaning. It seems so abstract that I can't really define it at this point.

4. I'm starting to see my trees budding.

1. Name, number of children (names and ages if you are comfortable)

I am Catherine, I have three grown up sons - Jason, Michael and Joshua

2. Have you ever felt uncomfortable when feeding your baby in public - whether by breast or bottle?

When I was nursing Jason, I was uncomfortable nursing him in front of anyone, and would go into the bedroom to be alone. It really made me hate breastfeeding, I felt so lonely and isolated, each feeding seemed to take forever.

3. What does weanng mean to you?

I consider weaning when anything other than breastmilk is added to baby's diet. That is the beginning of weaning. For some, it may be a short time till completely weaned. For others, it may be months, or even years.

Start with the usual... and a few questions to help get to know you better.
1. Name, number of children (names and ages if you are comfortable)
Monika, DD Kassandra is 11 months old
2. Have you ever felt uncomfortable when feeding your baby in public - whether by breast or bottle?
I never felt uncomfortable giving a bottle in the early weeks of EPing. During our transition to the breast, I really didn't NIP because the nipple shields weren't super convenient and DD wasn't totally sold on nursing. Nowadays I will nurse whenever and wherever. I know it is my legal right to NIP and I hope to do my part in making it more commonplace :-)
3. What does weanng mean to you?
Weaning to me is the stopping of breastfeeding. As it is I hope it's years away :-)

1. Name, number of children (names and ages if you are comfortable)

Charleen, one DS Andrew 4 yo.

2. Have you ever felt uncomfortable when feeding your baby in public - whether by breast or bottle?

No, NIP is not an issue where I live.

3. What does weanng mean to you?

In the most basic sense it means the gradual proccess of completely stopping BF'ing starting with the day you introduce solids and are thus no longer exclusively nursing. But due to the fact that most people in the U.S. use the term to refer to an attempt to stop BF'ing alltogether with in short period of time, I tend to only use the term in that context and refer to the more general sense of weaning as introducing solids.

Hi, I'm Dana in central NJ with nursing alums Kevin (10) and Jason (7). No, I've fortunately never felt uncomfortable nursing in public. Maybe I'm just ignorant but I've never noticed that I've gotten so much as a weird look.

Weaning to me means the process of stopping breastfeeding.

We're supposed to have a few days this week in the 60s which will be awesome!
