In Australia a panel of experts, notably including advocate Professor Brian Morris (see earlier link to his site) has recently engaged in a well conducted radio debate on the above. An edited edition, which last dsaround an hour, can be downloaded at:

The RCOAP, previously firmly against circumcision, recently revised its policy statement to grudgingly admit circumcision did have a range of benefits. They stopped short of recommending it but declared that parents' wishes in wanting their boys circumcised should be respected and not blocked by doctors who disagreed with the procedure. Whist they may not wish to perform circumcision themselves, they are required to refer to someone who would oblige them.
