I will be glued to my television next week, Lol.....  Do you think Tim Dolan has what it takes to be the next Pope?  Or any other American?

Thoughts?

I heard today that he lives with one long b/c of a health condiiton he developed as a teen. A people's pope is what I heard him referred to too, That was JPII and I say Amen to that!

I never understood the whole concept behind a pope. It seems more political then spiritual.

I don't know about the health concerns, But I love the name Francis he chose, He was a beautiful saint! I look forward to learning more about him.

Wow! Argentina!! And to call himself Francis.

I thought this guy was considered too old and that he had some health scares. He was 2nd in the last conclave.

But good choice. It make sense that he is from the most Catholic area in the world, a Jesuit and a man who took his vow of poverty serious.

At least this time we can tell it is black. I remember one conclave it was difficult to tell.

You know the old saying.. a watched pot doesn't boil.

Sorry everyone..

It takes me several attempts to log on and then, when I do, my posts get triplicated. Horrible!

Some speak more languages than others. Ouellet's Italian is suppose to be excellent but given that Italian is easier than French (his first language), that is not surprising.

You know what they say.. you enter the conclave as a Pope, you leave a Cardinal. We could be surprised.

I hope it is a cardinal from a 3rd world country who will lead by example and has a simple and pure faith. That is what the Church needs now.

Anyways, it will be an interesting week.
