I was just wondering if the people who said they were going to vote for Obama are really going vote for him when the curtain is closed? Let me hear your feedback conservative, moderate, & liberal.

It seems to me that Obama supporters on this board ASSUME that everyone voting for McCain is doing so because they are "undercover" racists. I just personally wonder if the Obama campaign or his supporters are secretly working up a plan to blame racism if he ends up losing? I just don't get all of this speculation. Other presidential nominees have been in the lead before and lost at the last minute. The same thing can happen here, without it turning into a blame game about race relations.

Calling Obama a "terrorist" or "muslim" is not another way of saying "black." How in the world did people come up with that assumption? I think people think he is a terrorist or muslim because of his association with terrorists and muslims. That would seem the logical conclusion for their thoughts.

"People have been shot, hurt, harrassed, run down, etc. because of wearing his T-Shirts, using his bumper stickers, and such."

I have not heard one thing about this. I would like to see some proof.

I am not voting for Obama, but not because he is black, or an alleged terrorist, or an alleged muslim. I simply have a difference of opinion on various issues.

I hope that whoever is our next president, he works for all of us and leads us out of this mess. I will be thankful for whoever can do this.

It would be a shame that people are just"saying" that they plan to vote for him if they aren't?

Read the posts all the proof you want is there. Also, please show me a post or posts that say we believe those not voting for Obama are racists.

"It seems to me that Obama supporters on this board ASSUME that everyone voting for McCain is doing so because they are "undercover" racists."

There are racists in this country, there will be some people who dont vote for Obama b/c he's black, but I dont know anyone who thinks the majority of McCain supporters are racist. And I havent seen anyone on this board say that ALL McCain supporters are racist.

"I just personally wonder if the Obama campaign or his supporters are secretly working up a plan to blame racism if he ends up losing?"

Working up a plan? To do what, exactly? Challenge the election on the basis that Americans are racist? Obama has a whole lot of class, I admire the way he has handled himself in this campaign (against some very nasty and very personal attacks). I would be completely shocked if he lost the election and started crying "RACISM". It would be out of character.

I have heard multiple time on major media outlets (CNN, etc) speculation that some voters who say they are for Obama wont "be able to do it" (vote for the black guy) once they get in the voting booth. I personally think it's ridiculous. It's as ridiculous as the people I hear that think "black folk" all over the country will riot if Obama loses.

I know, if he looses it won't really matter why people didn't vote for him(I'm pretty sure the McCain camp has figured this out-"vote for me because he is scary").

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure

I'm not, but only because I can't actually vote (legal resident but not a citizen).

However, my husband, an American citizen, WILL be voting for Obama when the curtain is drawn.
