t worse to die at the hands of a terrorist or at the hands of a disease that is curable but you can't afford the cure.

excellent point. Do most people who do not want universal healthcare feel that way because 1) they have good insurance already. 2) they just don't think they could ever be sick and lacking healthcare???

I do hope that Obama's healthcare plan does happen. I am suspicious due to the current state of the economy. I'm not sure how anyone could begin any costly programs at this point. I do think that healthcare would improve the economy. Many people out there are losing wages, declaring bankruptcy, racking up debt, etc trying to pay their medical costs. So many are underinsured or not insured at all.

I was really surprised and somewhat by Obama's plan. It has a lot of small fixes. The only thing that is really different if that will provide coverage for children. I like the part that would expand the health care profession. We need to expand medical schools and educate more physician.

The McCain health plan is a total train wreck. It is designed to put more money in the hands of insurance companies while limiting everyone's access to health care providers.

I think the US should be ashamed of itself for being the only industrialized country which does not provide some form of universal healthcare.

Are you another voter under the impression that Obama has said he will not be raising taxes at all?

I'm hoping that congress will finally be able to pass a reasonable patient's rights bill at the very least.

I vote c.

They just don't feel that paying for their health care needs should be someone else's responsibility.
