I didn't see this til now....Sorry for not responding.

Andrew Potter is:

He currently writes for Mcleans Magazine:

Like most editorials, I don't agree with everything written and I also don't always agree with numerous articles Potter has written. I do think it was food for thought and discussion (particularly an outside view of the Arizona tragedy).

As for Jon Stewart's "smug centrism" this must have come from Potter himself as I haven't heard an opinion on Stewart put exactly that way before.

Personally, I get a huge kick out of Jon Stewart. I think he's smart, very funny, and observant. However, he CAN come across as smug (but I happen to like that about him ;)...I also think that sometimes, he plays more middle of the road (centrist)

<< Another conservative that doesn't want to share their opinion, but is happy to constantly criticize others. >>

In the post you're referring to, I said clearly I am a solid liberal except on this issue. Another poster who doesn't bother reading an entire two-sentence post. I see a trend here.

Edited to add that I have no idea why my post split in the middle and posted twice.

From what I've seen, the conservatives on this board aren't shy to express their opinions. So I don't know what she's talking about, either.,

My post wasn't to you. It was to a poster who has read a few of my posts regarding guns.

Well, then, pardon my intrusion.
