I am beside myself with anger over the statement Obama made about treatable illnesses!

Falwell Sr. is dead but Jerry Falwell Jr. is still very much alive and supporting McCain.

I think we all can agree that the ER is meant to be used for emergencies rather than treatable illnesses. That was the point Obama was trying to make and whether or not he said it effectively, I think we should forget the semantics and focus on the intended message.

When my grandmother was dying last fall, I flew up without my dh and kids to say goodbye to her.

"The right time will be the weekend before the election. It will destroy Obama and his campaign, and give control of the Democrat party back to the Clintons."

LMAO. I've heard similar things a few places, and I wonder if people realize how ridiculous it sounds? I guess it gives some of the right-wingers something to look forward to. But I wonder what's going to happen when nothing big breaks, and November 4th comes, and y'all realize that more than 50% of America voted for the big, bad, scary democrat...

~Basically, most forms of asthma are treatable with inhalers and other medications. If people had access to these medications, in general, they would be less likely to end up in the hospital due to their asthma. I think his point is that if you give people preventative treatment, you won't have them filling up beds in the emergency room.~

I haven't read most of the long thread yet, but I agree.

I've got asthma, as does one of my kids.

*There's something big about to break, and Obama won't be able o recover from it. The Clintons have something on Obama, and they're sitting on it, waiting to strike when the time is right. The right time will be the weekend before the election. It will destroy Obama and his campaign, and give control of the Democrat party back to the Clintons.*

Who is telling you these things... seriously.
