Everybody knows that it makes no sense, and, you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma, they end up taking up a hospital bed.
What if he said ear infections? Would you still be outraged? I know somebody who lost their hearing in an ear due to an ear infection would I have the right to be outraged?? I would like to see how much money is wasted

Asthma is a treatable condition! There may not be a cure but it is treatable.

I believe Obama was just trying to point out, that if people had health care, they wouldn't be forced to go to a hospital for something that could be treated by a doctor.
A few years ago, I had appendicitis. I had to wait 4 hours to be seen at the ER. The place was busy with people who had sore throats and coughs.
maybe if you REALLY care THIS much about asthma you should vote for obama. as he is investing more in "clean" energy and energy
