With the Olympics going on, I've heard a lot of talk about politics and boycotting the Olympics. Now I'm hearing that people need to support our athletes and watch the Olympics. It makes me wonder where our priorities lie.

Hmmmm that is an interesting question. Is there an article or editorial piece you are referring to? I have not heard that comparison made before.

I agree, I think that people can support the troops and respect their commitment and loyalty to our country regardless of their feelings about the war. I have enormous respect for those men and women and I'm not sure if they can be compared to Olympic athletes necessarily.
