"It's time to put the election behind us and the country in front of us. Barack Obama wasn't my choice, but come January 20th, he will be MY President.... I will not seek to see all
Hi Juliet, what a beautiful family you have! Ya'll should be in Parents magazine! :-)
The fact of the matter is - if religion and spirituality is a huge part of your life, you can't separate it from anything you do. You can't leave it outside the voting booth. But as Christians, we also shouldn't push our views on others. Christ gave us freedom.
You are 100% correct. I can't leave it outside the booth. My relationship with God encompasses every aspect of my life.

PLEASE! The TOS says you can not curse. It does not say anything about not being able to tell someone to put there bible down. Don't threaten her. Last time I checked we had free speech in this country and if you don't like it, don't read it. I am Christian and I found no offense to what she said, I totally get what she is saying. I do believe church and state should be seperated. By the way their is nothing wrong with telling someone to picking up a history book. She owes you or the Original poster nothing.
I know there are a whole lot more of TOS rules... but I said she didn't curse bc someone was acting like she had said something vulgar. If telling someone to open their mind is offensive then they shouldn't be in the debate section anyway. I feel like coming to the politics board you should expect some criticism. If that is not the case then Ivillage shouldn't have debate message boards.

I have a few thoughts here so hang in there with me.
1 - Christians being intolerant to other gods / deities.
Didn't Jesus tolerate other religions?

I wasn't offended, either, and don't believe she actually broke TOS.

The TOS says much more than that you cannot curse.
