Is Ben Quayle a viable candidate?

What do you think? Personally I found his advertisement offensive and there seem to be a few morals issues not to mention his misleading mailer. But then I don't live in Arizona. Not sure if he thinks Mexico is part of the US or that Obama is responsible for drug cartels in Mexico somehow?

For fun - see Andy Cobb's add for Ben's old job. No idea who Andy Cobb is, but it's funny.

Sorry - forgot to put the link in.

Am I reading too much into the "Knock the hell out of Washington" comment. His he feeding into the whole "Obama is the Anti-Christ " mantra?

I really don't know but his 'Blueprint for Recovery' involves cutting taxes drastically:

Ben Quayle’s Blueprint for Job Recovery
1. Keep the Bush Tax Cuts
2. Cut Capital Gains Tax by 50%
3. Cut Corporate Income Tax by 50%
4. Eliminate the Death Tax
5. Repeal ObamaCare
6. Right-To-Work America
7. Cut payroll taxes by 35%
8. Stop Government Spending

Which begs the question - if that were to happen what is he planning to cut from the budget to accomplish that? Or how high is he willing to grow the deficit? Not that a freshman congressman could get that pushed through - or even know how to write the bills required to do it. But is this really a fiscally responsible plan?

Yup ... he's a viable candidate. After all...this is Arizona we're talking about. He's probably a shoe-in. Oh...and Andy Cobb is pretty funny!

I is a viable candidate. He is the son of Dan Quayle. Seemed like a very stupid thing to do if you ask me, but then again, he instantly gained national attention. He also has the name recognition thing going for him.

He went from a virtual nobody to somebody almost everyone has heard of. Good or bad, most local politicians are elected based on their name placement on the ballot and name recognition.

Sad but true.

Yes, he has the name recognition in relation to a guy who couldn't spell tomato/tomatoe/potato/potatoe and got owned by Lloyd Bentsen.
