I was reading through an article and came across this quote:

"And here's one resume bullet point to avoid: Biden was driven from the 1988 presidential race for passing off a British politician's life story as his own. "

The article itself seemed fairly impartial IMO...it was discussing padding the experience of the nom's.

He did not pass off Neil Kinnock's life story as his own.

Well, there is a big difference between "using a line" that another used and "passing a story off" as one's own.

I must apologize, it was a paragraph, not a single line, and, as I said before, he had always credited Kinnock before.

"After Biden withdrew from the race it was learned that he had correctly credited Kinnock on other occasions. "
Thanks for bringing this up. I had forgotten the details.

It wasn't only the plagiarism in his speech that got him in trouble, but he did it in law school, also.

I remember it clearly. My DH said it was only a matter of time before it was revisited. He/Biden has a history of using the work of others and claiming it as his own....failed a class or something once because of it....oh well, maybe he's outgrown that trait.
