Can someone please tell me why the Libs are always screaming about "fairness" for everything, but then turn around and expect unfair taxes on the rich?

As somene who is lower middle class.....I have never expected the government to give me anything. The general idea that anyone who is not wealthy...is looking for a handout is insulting..and baseless. THe same goes for the idea that anyone who is not wealthy is "worthless".." unmotivated"...useless" and the list of discriptors goes on. I was at the store yesterday and a woman was trying to buy things like play doh. pumpkins for carving and beer with her food stamps card..EBT card. The card declined all the things that were not food and she was left with a balance to pay herself...even though the transaction was rang up at the same time. I thought this was a very good sign that some reforms have been made and efforts to reduce welfare abuse are actaually taking place. Thought I should share that.

Wanting it to be easier for people to take care of themselves isn't looking for a handout.

I have an excellent article that explains how the WTO and IMF work in the neoliberal policies that are effecting poorer countries.
