Can someone please tell me why the Libs are always screaming about "fairness" for everything, but then turn around and expect unfair taxes on the rich?

i think it is the same in regards to the fact that my statement was a generalization. but when i look at some CEO's salaries, they are freaking unbelievable. for example, the CEO of AC Moore arts and crafts made $1,691,148 in 2007. WHY!? i dont understand! so it is ridiculous to expectmore from them because i think they are over paid. but at the same time, i dont

It's OK if the rich pay a higher percentage b/c "life isn't fair"? Wow.

Well, how about it's OK the American Dream hasn't worked for you, b/c life isn't fair! (something I would not say, but comparing to what you're saying).

You're right -

I agree, and I can say with absolutely certainty that I would be MORE than willing to help those people and pay more taxes for a program like that. What I will not support is paying for a program to allow the government to spend billions on something we DON'T need right now.

are you trying to get me to pity the rich? because that just isnt going to work? it is not i think they should/would be HURT by these tax increases

it's ok, you dont have to pity me either. i am quite happy with the life i lead. i didnt say "wah, i couldnt achieve the american dream" i said i dont believe in the "american dream." it is a delusion. do i have hopes for this country and my life? sure, but to compare them to anyone else's hopes and clump it into a category called "the great american dream" is asinine and i wont do it.
