"“This doesn’t have to do with the Black Panthers; this has to do with their fantasies about how they could use this issue to topple the administration,” said Thernstrom, who said members of the commission voiced their political aims “in the initial discussions” of the Panther case last year.

“My fellow conservatives on the commission had this wild notion they could bring Eric Holder down and really damage the president,” Thernstrom said in an interview with POLITICO. "

Well...maybe its not a fantasy then. Maybe the aim of the commission is to bring down Obama via racial issues and it is WORKING! Yay for them. Hurting racial relations has helped them in bringing down a political opponent. Sort of lends credence, then, to the argument that the GOP and Foxnews are conducting a race baiting approach to regaining political dominance. Mind you, that the woman quoted wasn't an employee of Politico. Instead, she was a GOP political appointee to the commission admitting that the goal is to use racial issues (or as some call it, "race baiting").

Maybe. When you have some evidence of that, you let me know.

See the Politico article I posted quoting the conservative, GOP-appointed member of the commission claiming just that. It is sort of like evidence when a member of a commission admits that her fellow members are using racist sentiments to attempt to bring down the administration. I'm not saying all conservatives and GOPers are racists or would use race baiting to try to gain political advantage, just that there appears to be a bit "evidence" based upon the conservative, GOP-appointed member of the committee that this particular case is being used in an attempt at gaining political advantage.

Yes...Frum was released/fired (whatever you want to call it) from AEI supposedly as a result of his being too critical (I read that as actually meaning "honest").

And I'm supposed to give her opinion any weight?

A criminal act was done. It should be prosectuted and penalties levied.

If enforcing the law isn't a good enough reasoning for her, I'll need some information/evidence as to how and why she thinks what she thinks. When some is presented...
