Boycotting Target?

Given the recent backlash against Target, I was wondering if anyone here was planning on boycotting. What are your thoughts on the issue of corporate political donations?

I have no clue what the backlash is can you please explain that.

And even before I hear the story, I have to have a VERY VERY VERY good reason to boycott somewhere. I think when these boycotts happen, it hurts the lower employees than the upper management people.

Sorry, I love Target and (IMO) Wal-mart is the devil.

I love Target too. This whole issue though has made me start thinking about whether or not I would continue to

That gives me a very good reason for shopping at Target, I think I'll get some more 'stuff' for my daughters dorm tomorrow! And, I recently purchased a new computer from Best Buy - Yea! So I guess I can support them and stimulate the economy at the same time.

Do you think Target should offer medical benefits and such to gay employees and their partners?

Yep, I wills still shop there. Not as if I did every often, but legally they are allowed to do the donation, so more power to them :-)

Question, do you really think that the main reason they backed this person is because they don't support gay marriage?

So if a company publicly donated money to an organization or a political candidate you did not support, you would continue to give them your business?
