I hope the challenge is successful and that it brings peace to people who, by accident of birth, already have so much discrimination to deal with on a daily basis. I wonder when people will realize that allowing gays to marry does not weaken the institution of marriage for the non-gay population? Seriously, I doubt that gay marriage could be cited as one of the reasons for the astronomical number of divorces in America! Every strong marriage strengthens the institution of marriage - I would think that gay marriage would just add to the numbers of strong marriages in America - how exactly can that be a bad thing? I just don't get it.
