Big news day.
My point is that we already have a mechanism for identifying those who are citizens.
Agreed. Once here, we tend to shed our connection to immigration over time. When people call for English to be the official language, they forget English was not spoken here, and that of European languages, Spanish came first.
We need protections for human rights, no matter what the heck the majority thinks or wishes to do. We see a lot of claims now on a war on religion, but if we gave people uninhibited freedom to act here, Christianity would impose itself on everyone, it would try and snuff out every other belief.
Protecting the few from the many is one of the most important elements of our form of governance.
Hmmm do you?
This is where the importance of the Constitution comes in, protecting the few from the tyranny of the many.
There is a danger if those who oppose take this to the Supremes... they could end up flipping the on switch across the country.
