WASHINGTON - One month before Election Day, Barack Obama sits atop battleground polls in a shrinking playing field, the economic crisis is breaking his way and he has made progress toward winning the White House.

The onus is on Republican John McCain to turn the race around under exceptionally challenging circumstances — and his options are limited.

McCain's advisers say the Arizona senator will ramp up his attacks in the coming days with a tougher, more focused message describing "who Obama is," including questioning his character, "liberal" record and "too risky" proposals in advertising and appearances.

I honestly think that McCain is doing what Obama did right after the Palin announcement.

actually, the inventor of the internet did win the election. but the mechanizations of the draft-dodger's brother gained him the win when they threw out votes. that smelled like desperation, too.

McCain has decided to start slinging the mud and is using Palin's pretty face to do it.

Well, I live in one of those scary "socialist" type countries as an expat and I hate to tell you - it's actually ranked a LOT higher standard of living than the US.

So what does gas cost in Germany?

Say for instance if another country invades Germany for some reason, what country do you think would step in to help?? MMMmmm?

Those bailouts wouldn't have been needed if Fannie and Freddie hadn't been forced to loan money to people who had no chance of paying it back. Thanks to Barney Frank and others.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiEWCnpNnBQ&feature=rec-fresh

I find it quite sad that they are sinking to this level but not surprising. I think most people wont fall for it this time though. The country has to much to worry about job loss, banks failing, debt etc. People need to know about how they going to able able to get a job not about what somebody else did when Obama was eight! We have already been to this but maybe is new to Sara Palin cause she hasn't read any major papers! Lose with some dignity GEEZ
