WASHINGTON - More women in their early 40s are childless, and those who are having children are having fewer than ever before, the Census Bureau said Monday.

Well, while I think the delayed childbirth translating into fertility problems is part of the answer, I also think mentalities are changing. No longer does a woman *HAVE* to have children to 1) be a woman and 2) be valuable. I think in the past a lot of women had kids out of a sense of obligation or duty, and I think more women nowadays are comfortable with saying, "Thanks, but no thanks!"

We used to call my Birth control pill my sleeping pill becasue I took it at night to remind me that if I wanted to keep sleeping at night I needed to take that pill!

Well, speaking of someone over 40, I didn't want to ever have children, then after 20 years of marriage I decided I didn't want to wake up christmas morning to just DH.
