For the same reason that obesity and diabetes stats are so high. All one can do is provide information and education, but you can't make someone take care of themselves.

As for "criminally negligent things going on," it is that way in every aspect of the medical field or any other field for that matter. Those people get caught and suffer the consequences.

3% is high? Even with the best of education things do happen. Society has constantly swung back and for to what is normal and what is not. We also keep putting off full fledged adulthood off. Even the best of birthcontrol does fail. Pinholes, miscalculation of one's cycle, screwing up the birth controlpills with other meds..etc

Lets face it in the old days when our life spans were shorter people got maried earlier. It was expected for women to be married by the time they were 18 or considered to be old maids. But as our lifespans stretched and women's rights and more education and even being allowed to have careers. In return, women getting married later in life has become the norm. And lets face it we are mammals, we are in the nature of things really animals(sorry for those who think other wise but we are just as much of an animal as your dog. So we do have sexual needs. Some are better at

It doesn't matter what the numbers are. It is a legal procedure that is an essential service in comprehensive women's health care in the US.

ProLifer's have no say (yet) on a women's right to choose abortion.

The numbers are actually been in decline since the mid-80s, but you are not really interested in facts, just propaganda.

Ok, But you asked for a link and lifenews doesn't create those stories, They are real cases happening to real people, Even if you don't want to hear it.... Compare that to the attention people give Rush Limbaugh, Maher, Journalists and newscasters whose opinions are formed by political party favortism and there is a difference.

I think there will always be a divide b/w pro-lifers and pro-choicers, The two sides are based on total opposte beliefs.

It does create the stories. They are not journalists, they are propagandists with a position to promote with conviction not facts.

Journalists used to be a respected profession and there are still some great journalists, but punditry and partisanship is mistaken for journalism.

Comparing Lifenews to journalism is a perversion.

The profit margin on abortions is what drives much of their profit.

Oh Please.. I did a paper in college once on professional ethics, There's journalism ethics too and they should not let opinions get in the way of reporting news, But they do, And they get away with it because its what brings in attention and its what brings in

With your knowledge of journalistic ethics, can you demonstrate how Lifenews deplays anything but propaganda its prolife agenda?

Some doctor's commit malpractice, and they lose their license. It is not news unless it's to warn the community about the doctor. Most doctor's including those performing abortions, are competent. Any medical procedure, including giving birth, has its risks.

I've never been to PP, but I believe that the patient has to be informed of the risks of an abortion procedure. Do you know differently?
