I am just so proud of our country for making the right decision. For moving toward progress. I had an AMAZING nights sleep last night. I can't wait for the frustration of the election season (2 years!!!) to wind down. I live in Oregon so we still don't know if 'our guy' is going to win the senate. No matter what I feel like I woke up in a better country today!
Over the years, upon hearing accounts of how people cried when JFK was assasinated, I could never understand how people could feel an emotional or personal connerction to a political figure.
I now understand. I was in tears throughout Obama's entire speech.

AS results came in last night, every TV in my hospital was on ( I was at work). The rest of the world sighed a collective breath of relief. A breath we have been holding for 8 years while your government quietly destroyed your rights. Canada is happy for the USA today. WE had almost written you off.
