I can't get the title to all fit. I wanted to say "Some house Dems call for nationalizing oil refineries" I heard about it on tv today.

I'm still waiting for you to post a link to where you heard about this proposal.
Hinchey said clearly in the news conference that he thought refineries should be nationalized. How did Fox News manipulate, take out of context or in any way change the meaning of his original words.

From your link, these are the words he said on Wednesday:
<>On Wednesday, Hinchey criticized Republicans for what he said was a hypocritical approach to energy prices: "Our Republican friends also talk about the need to set up ways in which the material can be refined, refineries. Well, do we own refineries? No. The oil companies own refineries. Should the people of the United States own refineries? Maybe so.
"Frankly, I think that's a good idea."
Hinchey said that would allow the federal government to better "control the amount of refined product much more capably" than the oil companies.<>
He was simply backpedaling on Thursday, becasue he realized what a stupid mistake he had made, making him sound as stupid as Maxine Waters.

In a grilling of oil executives by a House panel yesterday, Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., threatened to nationalize the industry if it didn't do something about the rising prices at the pump.

Or were her words taken out of context too?
Here again we have the same exact snip.
>>>I'm still waiting for you to post a link to where you heard about this proposal.
>>>As a matter of fact, this was the perfect trap
I must disagree with you!
