i dont get it.

I was reading today about Obama's short term agenda and three things that came up were

1) stop plans to drill for oil in environmentally fragile areas
2) stop the ban on funding of abortion aid in other countries
3) stop ban on stem cell creation and subsequent destroying for research purposes.

WHAT??????

why is the environment and/or animals more important that unborn babies?

many times the liberal agenda is more for the rights of everything EXCEPT unborn kid, eg: baby animals, people on death row, gay rights, etc.

I am not against the rights of those i just listed, i would just include unborn children too, right?? it seems like strange priorities, or hypocritical.

Please explain (IYPOV) how providing opportunity and social safety nets for the public is an erosion of individual freedom.

Why do you feel more comfortable with the state taking care of things like education, food and medical needs? And what do you think can or should be done if a state is unwilling or unable to take care of these needs?

Education - At which level of gov't would you think has a better chance of assessing the skillset of its population according to its industry segments ?

Hmmm...at present it seems quite EASY to escape the middle class...into poverty.

It should never be the federal government's role to exact social justice on any class at the expense of another

Is it so much different than people who are more concerned with the not-yet-born but unconcerned with the already-born?

and neither should you or anyone else

You going to have to unwind your thinking a little to understand why this is morally wrong.

I think it's incredibly rude of you to presume to tell me that my opinions are wrong and what I "should" be thinking. I disagree with you as adamently as you disagree with me, but I have never been rude, nor have I told you that you are wrong. Why is it so hard to simply agree to disagree? I asked you these questions because I was generally interested to hear your opinion. But if that's how you debate, then no thanks.

<<Perhaps she's just one of the folks who recognize that "class" isn't equal to income level. A point you may want to consider in the future. >>

of course there are factors other than income that determine a person's socioeconomic class. but that still doesnt support the claim: lower class=drug dealer
