When Obama created his entire campaign based on three things which he now will not or cannot do what is happening for his supporters now?

He said he would pull out of Iraq, now clearly that is NOT his plan, and he also plans to send four times the troops to Afganistan and also attack Pakistan.

He can NOT do anything about HEALTHCARE, he knows this, regardless of the fact that all his plan boiled down to was a 2,500 dollar tax credit per family for medical related expenses, that is FAR from insuring 330 million people and 64 million illegal aliens.

He said he would cut taxes for the middle class, which can not be done now that we are having to take this bailout which all the Democrats are pushing the hardest for, since so many are tied to the bailout in a personal way like accepting lobbyist money or kick backs and also having their part in blocking regulations on subprime loans.

I would like to know other than Obama being black which is the appeal for some, and other than him being young and inexperienced what is the huge attraction? He endorsed many of Bushes policies including the wire tapping. He also voted MORE with party lines than John McCain and he also voted 94 times to raise taxes on those making over 42,000 dollars...so WHY is he better to be President?

I think you're confusing McCain's healthcare credit and Obama's tax plan.

Considering that the person who made this video is the same one who made a video purporting that Obama wants sex education in kindergarten, I don't think I'll be viewing it.

I have been thinking about this all day. It was hard for me to hear the debate since my dh and step-dad were arguing, lol. But I thought I heard Obama talk about "taking out" Pakistan and sending troops to Afganistan and such. I thought leaving Iraq was about bringing our troops HOME. I keep thinking I need to watch that part of the debate again.

Wonderfully put Elissa.

I'm voting for Obama and not because he's black -- or part white or has roots in Africa or for any other equally shallow or ridiculous reason. His race has nothing to do with why I'm voting for him. He is NOT who I would have voted for in the primaries (if I had the right to vote in the primaries in my state which I don't as a registered independent). I just happens to be my opinion that he is the best choice between the two.

Thanks Catalina.

I'll take a gander at this, even though I am not a democrat, I am voting for Obama.

McCain wants to make the Bush tax cuts permanent - can we afford to do that with this financial crisis? Why single out that we might not be able to pay for Obama's proposals and not McCain's? Whichever one takes over is going to have a hard time paying for what they promised in the campaign.

As far as why I'm voting for Obama, it's simple. I am a liberal. I have liberal ideals and I support liberal positions. It doesn't bother me in the slightest that Obama votes democratic party lines - that's why I'm a democrat :) Is it really so hard to understand that someone with different viewpoints than yours would support a different candidate? Do you really think all of Obama's votes are going to come from people who just want to vote for the black guy?

And BTW both parties have issues with lobbyists, kick backs, and failing to regulate the banks.

You are complaining about McCain's plan:

"In addition, I will reform the tax code to provide every family the option of receiving a direct, refundable tax deposit - effectively $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 cash for families to offset the cost of insurance."

~Seriously, it's comments like that that make the liberals think "racists" when they read conservative posts~

Thank you for putting it much more politely than I could muster.
