"Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on all 10 of the important issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports.

The GOP has consistently been trusted on most issues for months now, but in July

(hey there's enough hypocrisy and double standards to go around - what ever happened with Ensign and Vitter?)

True enough. However, I really don't give a hoot if they can't keep their pants on. Look at Clinton if we want to go there. As long as it doesn't affect my tax dollars.

However, when they use taxpayer money to insure that the bank that they are heavily invested in doesn't go under.....hmmmm....

And, of course, when we have a Congressman who actually helps write the tax codes cheat on his taxes....hmmm......but then again most of Obama's cabinet is a bunch of tax cheats....so I guess I can see why they think it's "normal".

"they wanted it to be a ponderous machine with a lot of inertia, so that we couldn't be governed by the evanescent whims of the foolish."

...Ummmm,.....

....on second thought, that's too easy.

Nevermind.

No, not confused. Kenn Starr, Newt Gingrich, starting to ring some bells. White Water? Remember how P.O.ed the Republicans were, they went on fishing expiditions for the Clintons at least once every 6 weeks. So if they win this time around, I'm sure they will have a crew come in to look under ever rock near the White House. Plus they all ready said they will not pass anything,

Kinda cutting off their noses to spite their face.

((...Republicans were, they went on fishing expiditions for the Clintons at least once every 6 weeks.))

Would that be the same Clinton who perjured himself in court? The same Clinton who likes to play "hide the cigar" with the young White House interns?

I guess it all depends on what the meaning of "is" is. LOL!

In general, we have a HUGE point of agreement on this matter.

I do think, however, that every once in a while politicians get a slap in the face reminder that "the people" are rising up in protest. In response they feel/see the need to better represent their constituents and stand up for what is right, proper and good...to mirror the image of governing that this nation was founded upon.

I am not making a right vs. left argument here. I just think that these wake up calls come about every so often. One came 4 yrs ago and 2 yrs ago, I believe. I also believe that another is coming in about 2 months....we will see. If those politicians misread what the people want, I think the electorate is slowly starting to feel more of their empowerment, and will quickly show them. or their way of governing the door. This will continue until some group of folks elected finally stays in touch with what mainstream America thinks is best for the country.

What is most troubling to me is that those politicians who seem to heed this wake up call, they so soon seem to fall back to slumber in the old way of doing things.(both sides, IMO).

On a personal note, I hope you are doing well.

ITA. Anyway you slice it he's a terrible president.

He looks good in a suit and gives great speeches. I guess that's enough for some people.

I don't play the "Tit for Tat" game.

Question? Did you forget what state I'm from. Pffffft.....
corruption???? I think Ohio holds the record.

Like I've said many, many times. These polls mean nothing to me.
