Did Obama make a mistake?

As a Hillary supporter, who has now slanted towards McCain/Palin, I am curious as to how many people (democrats especially) think that Obama should have chosen Hillary as his running mate. I know he would have had my vote. Why or why not??? I know this is pretty much a debate board, but I really don't want a debate, I'm truly curious as to what his supporters think, now that there is a woman on the ticket.

omg you know what i'm going to say ...

puleeeeze find a reference for that. not speculation from a conservative talking-head. a real honest-to-gawd quote SINCE THE CONVENTION where she said she did not want Obama to win.

what the ...

I'm tied up all day. Palin went to the UN? under what authority? candidate for VP? then can Steven Colbert go, too? how about my uncle Bunkie?

that's scary.

Then don't speculate. if that's allowed, then I can speculate that Palin wants to smother McCain if they win the election.

so now that i read about it, i don't understand why Clinton would cancel. her staff admitted the reason she cancelled is Palin's attendance - but i guess i'm being dense and don't see a technical conflict. unless she was going to be there "officially" the state senator and now it looks like a campaign opportunity for McCain. but then why cancel only after he announced he might take Palin?

but i had to giggle: it sounds like he is taking Palin on a date.
