Did Obama make a mistake?

As a Hillary supporter, who has now slanted towards McCain/Palin, I am curious as to how many people (democrats especially) think that Obama should have chosen Hillary as his running mate. I know he would have had my vote. Why or why not??? I know this is pretty much a debate board, but I really don't want a debate, I'm truly curious as to what his supporters think, now that there is a woman on the ticket.

I actually thought that Biden was a wise choice for a running mate, and have thought all along that if Obama wins, Hillary Clinton would be

Good analysis!

But if Obama wins she's not likely to get another chance for at least 12 years!

However, she really screwed up today by canceling her visit to the U.N. because Sarah Palin will also be there.

I think not having HRC on the ticket is a mistake, it would have given Obama an easy win, BUT I don't think he had that option. I don't think there is any way HRC would have accepted the position because I believe that she is working very hard, but very quietly, behind the scenes to try and defeat Obama. She wants to be President, not VP, and the fastest road there is if McCain wins 2008, so she can run in 2012. Watch her talking, she doesn't want him to win... even one of her closest advisers, a lifelong Democrat has now endorsed McCain. She didn't do that without Clinton's approval, no way. If Obama loses this election, it will not be because of McCain, but rather because of the Clinton machine.

Can you back that up with any facts, and not just conspiracy theory?

<>

oh lord i doubt if a black man and a white woman - both labeled "commie liberal" - would be an easy win. there is no way you can offer proof of that.

<>

i hope you have some other proof than a vast left wing conspiracy theory to support that. please provide ANY proof that she is working behind the scenes.

<>

one of her closest advisors? i need to see that support, too. my former boss is a kind of close advisor of McCain in that case.

http://news.aol.com/article/top-clinton-fundraiser-backing-mccain/177658

"A top Hillary Rodham Clinton fundraiser threw her support behind Republican John McCain on Wednesday, saying he will lead the country in a centrist fashion and accusing the Democrats of becoming too extreme... Rothschild is a member of the DNC's Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York. She was one of Clinton's top fundraisers, bringing in more than $100,000 for her presidential campaign... Rothschild said she has not discussed her support for McCain with Clinton."

Yes her change of support is weird - but i don't think it means Clinton wants Obama to lose.

By McCain's standards, she still has 13 years left to run.

Heh, nope, nothing more than a feeling deep in my gut (yes I am currently wearing a tinfoil hat, LOL). I just can't help but feel every time I see her talk now that she just doesn't believe a single word she's saying, she just seems so "off" to me. My post was 100% opinion (mine) so please don't take it as anything but.

" She didn't do that without Clinton's approval, no way."
People are very particular in their loyalties. There are a number of Clinton supporters who are now supporting McCain, despite her recommendation to the contrary.

"If Obama loses this election, it will not be because of McCain, but rather because of the Clinton machine."
Obama will almost certainly lose this election. I have resigned myself to that. But it won't be because of the imaginary machinations of the Clintons. It will be because people will hold Obama to one standard, and McCain to another. Anything that involves helping people is a socialist plot to take away your hard earned dollars. Let's find facts to support our preconceptions about Liberals. Any reasonable question asked of the one camp is blown out of proportion and exaggerated - the IDEA that someone would expect a female politician to answer hard questions on her opinions is just plain sexist. Very difficult questions are answered by the other camp - and they're just more evidence that Liberals are closet Marxists.

Actually, the reason Palin isn't going:
