did you watch the Palin interview?

I taped it and will finish it this morning. i know it was released in segments, but i wanted to see the whole thing with the introductions to get the context. i also wanted to see it without commentary from pundits.

of course i expect this community to view it through their own biases. but did you watch and how did you watch? in segments or the whole thing? with or without commentary?

and if you watched without commentary, what was your own opinion?

"one or two sentences doesn't equal 'a few sentences' or at least where I was taught math"

'A few' is not formal mathematical terminology. There is no reason you would have heard it mentioned in a math class other than to elaborate on its inappropriateness for mathematical discourse. It is safe to say, however, that the common meaning of "a few" would subsume the meaning of "one or two." But it might also mean 0, or 5 or 10. The term is sufficiently vague that it might even mean hundreds or more in some contexts. Probably 'hundreds' is not an appropriate interpretation in this circumstance.

which is all well and good ... but doesn't change the fact it was indeed heavily edited.

one has nothing to do with the other.

i know i'm not running for VP, but i know i need a lot of words to express my ideas in full. yes she should be better than me at expressing coherent and concise answers. at the same time, i'm willing to say i didn't get a whole picture from the interview. and you are right, sandy - an unrehearsed, live format would be better.

guess i should put the debates on my calendar.

I generally do like to watch the debates for this reason.

I'd give you a link to the article about this but it breaks my own rules of using 'opinion pieces' of proof ... lmao.

The way I feel about them is they are great to read, on all sides ... for entertainment, consideration and all that jazz but certainly not a be all end all of the issue discussed.

in actuality the way it was edited (from what I have heard, I have not seen it) makes the show itself look stupid b/c it was edited very 'choppy'?

I just wish that people would not take interviews for ANY candidate so seriously.

A doctrine has to submitted into government? You must have gone to the same series of schools Palin went to. The Bush Doctrine has been endlessly written about in articles and whole books-it is the doctrine of preemptive self defense and is and was a sea change in US foreign policy. But since you're probably a Republican, reality if optional and you'll believe what Faux news tells you.
