Do they?

Probably not. After all, we consumers rarely ask our health care providers to put a price tag on their products and services in any context outside of "deductibles" or "out of pocket expense". The system started breaking when insurance came between product/service and a customer's wallet.

Edited to remove a redundant post.  Thanks, iVillage, for continuing to show gross incompetence in website design and code writing across a number of platforms. Mobile device, desktop, laptop, Apple or Miicrosoft--not one of them is consistently free of annoying errors.  After a year and a half of shoddy design and drastically reduced traffic, one would think there would be an epiphany but apparently not.

I do not think they care.  ithink they want the metrics to go far down so they can get rid of it.   It's thesame tactics to get rid of a TV show the bosses do not like give it a horrible time slot.

I'll assume they're intelligent enough to know the difference... and corrupt enough not to care when they sell their lies to people stupid enough to believe them.

I am not so sure I agree that politicians want to get rid of health insurance. I think they absolutely know the difference but are hoping that the majority of Americans don't. I have state all along that if health care were more affordable, no one would need to have health insurance. Insurance is and never will be anything but a scam.

Health insurance, like auto insurance, is only a scam until you need it.
