The fact that it takes a millionaire with connections to run for President is a continual bug in my saddle. I know it has always been this way..Washington was a weathly land owner, Jefferson the same but it seems worst in the past years than before.
Gore...wealthy. Bush..wealthy. Kerry...wealthy.
Do you think those born with a silver spoon in their mouth like Gore or Bush or Kerry can truly understand the middle class and their needs and wants? Do you think it insulates them too much?
Part of this thought comes from an interview of O'Reilly on the Daily Show. He talked about how politicans are so insulated from the real world by their position and their wealth that the middle class really doesn't stand a chance anymore in getting a voice. We really only get a voice by voting. In my humble opionion, the pickings have been quite slim in the presidential election for the past two elections.
Others might not feel this way but it does make me sad that my son wants to be President and I know he can't unless he is wealthy.
I am trying to make this another non partisan post!!
