I personally have never really paid much attention to politics but there is a woman at work who is very in to politics and she tells the rest of us that we are totally irresponsible for not making sure we are up to date on politics. I just don't really care what happens because I can't really change things anyways. Do you think it is important?

I would absolutely agree with your co-workers that it is irresponsible not to be up to date and on political matters or know who represents you on everything. Had the general population been more aware of what was involved in the Affordable Health Care Act it would have never passed. But too many people take a hands-off approach so here we are stuck with something that is indeed going to affect every single person in this country one way or another.

Politicians are YOUR voice. Make sure you know and understand what you are saying.

I totally agree; I've been interested in politics since I was five.
